Spring -18 workshops in Stockholm:
During the spring I´ll give a series of themed workshops at the lovely studio Yogabolaget in Åkersberga. It will be technical, flowy, intense and a lot of fun! All workshops start with an introduction, to be followed by a 45 min warmup flow. After that there´s time to play – individually, against a wall and in pairs. The level will be adapted to the people present, so yogis of all levels are welcome! Read more and reserve your space here: www.yogabolaget.se/index.php/kurser-a-workshops/149
Saturday 17/3, 10-13: Arm balances
Arm balances is a strong and fun asana family. Come and play, and get a kick of endorfines as you realise you can place your entire body weight on your hands! We´ll do Bakasana (crow), Parsva Bakasana (side crow), Eka Pada Galavasana (flying pigeon), Asta Vakrasana (8 angle pose), Eka Pada Kundinyasana (one footed Kundinya pose) and as much additional stuff as we have time for!
Sunday 15/4, 10-13: Inversions
Bring a good portion of courage and curiosity to this day of flipping your body upside down! We build a lot of core and assist each other so safely come in and out of postures like Salamba Sarvangasana (shoulder stand), Sirsasana (headstand), Adho Mukha Vrksasana (handstand) and Vrishchikasana (scorpion).
Saturday 26/5, 10-13: Backbends
Backbends are intense openings for the entire front side of the body. Learn how to enter and deepen your backbends in a way that safely avoids dumping all the pressure down into your lower spine. We´ll be experimenting with Eka Pada Raja Kapotasana (one legged king pigeon), Natarajasana (dancer), Urdhva Danurasana (wheel), Viparita Dandasana (upward staff) and perhaps one or two drop backs if time allows.
